Gebt es zu, ihr habt nur darauf gewartet, wann ich mich auf den Period-Panty-Markt in Norwegen stürze. Und nun ist es soweit: Ich habe Charlotte von Sereluna, die Period Pantys aus Norwegen, kennengelernt. Erst auf Instagram, dann bei ihrem Popup-Store auf dem Vulkan-Gelände in Oslo.
Ich habe mehrfach geschaut, was es kosten würde, mir meine Lieblingsmarken aus dem Ausland nach Oslo zu bestellen. Da aber Norwegen nicht in der EU ist, sind die Versand- und Zollkosten exorbitant hoch, sodass es fast schon günstiger wäre, einen Flug nach Deutschland zu buchen und mir die Pantys dort zu besorgen. Das wäre aber entgegengesetzt zum Nachhaltigkeitsansatz vieler Pantys und alles in allem Quatsch. Deswegen freue ich mich, euch nun Sereluna vorzustellen. Für alle, die eine neue Marke suchen und für all die Deutschen, die in Norwegen wohnen. Alle anderen sowieso auch.

Was zeichnet Sereluna aus?
Sereluna ist aus dem Bedarf heraus entstanden, dass es in Norwegen noch kein Unternehmen gab, das Menstruationsunterwäsche produzierte. Charlotte, die gebürtig aus Frankreich kommt, fand, dass das geändert werden muss. Sie fackelte nicht lang und gründete das Unternehmen. Der Name Sereluna kommt von Serenity und Luna. Das Anliegen von Charlotte ist es, die Menstruation so angenehm und stressfrei wie möglich zu machen mithilfe ihrer bequemen, ökologischen und hübschen Pantys.
Modelle von Sereluna
Insgesamt gibt es derzeit drei unterschiedliche Modelle: die Kaia Brief, die Ida High Waist und die Elsa Shorty, allesamt in schwarz und lila. Die beiden letztgenannten Modelle kommen mit französischer Spitze. Ich habe das Modell Ida High Waist gewählt, weil ich in der Vergangenheit festgestellt habe, dass mir während der Menstruation alles Hochgeschnittene besonders gut tut. Hohe Jeans, Kleider ohne Bündchen, alles möglichst leger, damit nichts auf den Bauch drückt. Gleichzeitig mag ich es eine extra Schicht Stoff im Lendenbereich zu tragen, damit es etwas wärmt und das Ziehen im Rücken somit gelindert wird.
Die insgesamt drei Modelle sind auf zwei Menstruationsstärken ausgelegt: mittel und stark. Kontra-intuitiv ist tatsächlich das hochgeschnittene Modell Ida nicht für die stärksten, sondern für die mittleren Tage gedacht. Kaia Brief und Elsa Shorty sind für stärkere Menstruationen.
Mein Erfahrungsbericht
Manchmal ist Timing alles. Als ich Charlotte bei ihrem Popup-Stand besuchte, war gerade Tag eins meiner Mens und ich war eigentlich nicht so wahnsinnig „sozial“ drauf, weil mit alles weh tat. Vorteil war aber, dass ich noch am gleichen Tag ihre Panty ausprobieren konnte. Mal abgesehen davon, dass ihr Enthusiasmus, mit Period Pantys das Periodentabu zu brechen, gefallen mir auch ihre Modelle sehr gut.
Schön ist, dass sie erst einmal mit einer kleinen Produktpalette anfängt: drei Modelle, zwei Farben. Das Modell Ida High Waist kommt mir schöner Spitze, die fast wie Leopardenmuster aussieht. Das ist immer ein Pluspunkt bei mir. Die Passform ist angenehm: Ich wähle eigentlich immer eine S oder 36/38 und genau diese Größe passt mir auch bei Sereluna. Sie sitzt gut, nichts verrutscht, am Hintern schneidet nichts ein und ich empfinde die Lagen nicht als unangenehm dick. Manche der von mir getesteten Modelle hatten ein etwas windeliges Gefühl, nicht so die Sereluna. Sie trägt sich trotz warmer Temperaturen angenehm und ist nicht zu warm.
Das hochgeschnittene Modell hat den saugfähigen Kern mit ungefähr zum Steißbein. Von einigen Freundinnen weiß ich, dass wenn sie nachts stark bluten die Höhe nicht ausreicht, sondern der Kern bis zum Rücken hochgehen sollte. Das sollte man für nachts im Kopf behalten.
Ich bin froh nun eine Marke meines Vertrauens in Norwegen gefunden zu haben, ohne lange Postwege und ohne die Gefahr, dass alles über Wochen im Zoll hängen bleibt.

My regular readers know my obsession with period panties. I love to see what’s happening on the market and test it all. So it was just a matter of time until I would go exploring on the Norwegian market. While there was NOTHING until the beginning of this year, I am glad I found Sereluna: I met Charlotte of Sereluna, the period panties from Norway. First on Instagram , then at her popup store on the Vulkan-area in Oslo.
I checked several times what it would cost to order my favorite brands from abroad to Oslo. But since Norway is not in the EU, the shipping and customs costs are exorbitantly high, so it would almost be cheaper to book a flight to Germany and get the panties there. But that would be contrary to the sustainability approach of many panties and all in all nonsense. That’s why I’m happy to introduce you to Sereluna. For everyone looking for a new brand and for all the Germans living in Norway. Everyone else anyway.
What’s Sereluna about?
Sereluna was born out of the need that there was no company in Norway that produced menstrual underwear. Charlotte, who is originally from France, felt that this needs to change. She didn’t hesitate and founded the company. The name Sereluna comes from Serenity and Luna. Charlotte’s goal is to make menstruation as pleasant and stress-free as possible with her comfortable, ecological and pretty panties.
Models by Sereluna
There are currently three different models: the Kaia Brief, the Ida High Waist and the Elsa Shorty, all in black and purple. The latter two models come with French lace. I chose the Ida High Waist style because I’ve noticed in the past that I during menstruation, anything high-waisted is particularly good. High jeans, dresses without cuffs, everything as casual as possible so that nothing presses on the stomach. At the same time, I like to wear an extra layer of fabric in the lumbar area to give it a bit of warmth and relieve the pulling in the back.
The three models are designed for two menstrual strengths: medium and strong. Counter-intuitively, the high-cut model Ida is not intended for the strongest, but for the middle days. Kaia Brief and Elsa Shorty are for heavier menstrual periods.
My experience and review
Sometimes timing is everything. When I visited Charlotte at her pop-up booth, it was day one of my period and I wasn’t really feeling all that „social“ because I was in actual pain. But the advantage was that I could try out her panties that same day. Apart from the fact that her enthusiasm for breaking the period taboo with period panties, I also really like her models.
It’s nice that she’s starting out with a small range of products: three models, two colors. The Ida High Waist model comes with a beautiful lace that looks almost like a leopard print. That’s always a plus for me. The fit is comfortable: I always choose an S or 36/38, and this is exactly the size that fits me with Sereluna. It fits well, nothing slips, nothing cuts into the buttocks and I don’t find the layers uncomfortably thick. Some of the other brand’s models I tested felt a bit diapery, but not the Sereluna. It is comfortable to wear and despite warm temperatures it is not too warm.
The high-waisted model has the absorbent core end near the tailbone. I know from some friends with heavy flows especially at night, the „low ending“ of the absorbent core is not sufficient, but the core should go up to the back. Keep that in mind for the night if you tend to have a heavy flow.
In any case I’m glad to have found a brand I trust in Norway, without long postal routes and without the risk of everything getting stuck in customs for weeks. Give it a go!
